Mount Dora Historical Society
Shaping the future of Mount Dora by honoring the past.
Opening its doors in 1979, the Mount Dora History Museum features historical photos, objects and stories from the 1870s to today.

This cemetery was originally created for orange grove workers in 1883 by Milton M. Simpson. In 1896, his son, David M. Simpson conveyed the Cemetery Association. It contains 61 graves and was restored in 2010 by the Historical Society.
The Mount Dora Archives is a collaborative venture between the Mount Dora Historical Society, the Mount Dora Association and the City of Mount Dora. The mission of this partnership is to collect, preserve and digitize historical photographs, documents and publications to further an appreciation and understanding of Mount Dora's early days.
